Alexander Haney

Licensed

I am licensed in the state of Tennessee as a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP). With this designation, I am able to provide therapy services and diagnose mental health-related disorders per the DSM-5 guidelines.

Education

I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Tennessee Technological University and my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Experience

I have substantial experience with various populations and at different levels of care throughout my career. During this time, I have had the privilege of working with individuals struggling with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, general anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, borderline and with struggling families and couples.

Ages

I have experience working with adolescents and adults at residential facilities who have experienced childhood abuse, addiction and family conflict. I began transitioning to outpatient care in 2020 and have spent significant time working with individuals to thrive forward towards a life they are excited to live.

Empowerment

It is never lost on me how special it is to walk alongside anyone and help them become the hero of their own story. It’s my passion to work with anyone willing and able to take steps towards that dream so that it becomes their everyday reality.
